Tawhiti is amazing. The level of detail of the dioramas and exhibits is enthralling.

IMG_7388The museum is dedicated to the early history of New Zealand, specifically South Taranaki.

Tawhiti is great at telling stories. Everything is visually enchanting and has backup information. You could easily spend a day in there reading all the history.

This was my favourite diorama. It depicts the jungle warfare in the late 1800s in South Taranaki.

Cool old map.

Sweet harley.

Tawhiti does all its own modeling and miniaturising. Very cool.
