Otago Odyssey (Part 1)

Late last year I went on a bit of a road trip around Otago and Central Otago. First stop from Dunedin was Cromwell, a hearty little town with a lovely cidery and friendly people.

Then through to Cardrona. We stopped at the pub and had a beer in the sun. Wonderful place in summer with a lush grassy area out the back perfect for a rest.

Following the Crown Range Road to the peak before the dip down to Arrowtown and Queenstown we stopped to take in the view.

In Arrowtown we got gelato and went for a walk down by the creek. The water was ice cold but the lupins looked beautiful.

We stopped off in Queenstown and did all that touristy crap too. The luge was fun as was the mini putt. There are also many marvelous restaurants there. YUM!

Part two of the Otago Odyssey is here.
