I was kidnapped today by my dear friends Rachel and Aaron. They threw me in the back of their van and sped over the Rimutukas. Here are some images I managed to snap on my phone’s camera.
We stopped and picked blackberries by the side of the road.
Then we purchased plums.
Then off to Aaron’s dad’s place. He has three Clydesdales (and two sheep called Baaaasil and Sheepish).
Lots of ragwort everywhere with millions of these ragwort butterflies on them.
Aaron’s dad has about a squillion cars on his property. What follows are just some of them. One could spend an entire day fossicking through there.
Rachel gets her farm on.
They definitely do not make hood ornaments like they used to.
Old trucks, engines parts, wooden beams, fox gloves.
Take your pick. Start your engines.
Might need to clean your car out, bro.

Went to Pukaha Mount Bruce sanctuary. It was pretty cool. But some of the birds — kakariki and kaka — are in cages. We didn’t get to see the Kokako, it was hiding. Apparently it is sitting on an egg!

First time I have ever been to Eketahuna. Worth it.
